Okay so we’re living in a time where literally, anything is possible. Who here has heard of this rather, unorthodox character? If you haven’t you’re honestly missing out. JP Sears is a fiery red head who’s just filled with satirical jokes and seems pretty bizarre. Like, should we even take him seriously? One things for sure, this guy knows how to ensure our laughter
I mean, not everything about a healthy life needs to be serious.
How Does He Do It?
Basically this guy uses satirical methods to run an emotional healing and coaching practice. He sets up retreats around the world… (think paradise islands) to personally empower and heal people all over the world. He often creates different themes to keep us intrigued and even uses Skype as one of his main platforms to do this.
How insane is that? What I love more is how he gets like-minded people from all over the globe to learn, grow and heal in unison.
He says that “true art is about giving people what they need and creating a deeper connection to their minds.” And he’s spot on. I know I only need what I want and want what I need.
If I could describe Sears in one phrase, I’d call him a “Yogi-Comedian.” The hilariously, enlightened individual.
His YouTube channel – AwakenWithJP definitely proves this. I find myself captivated by his hilarious, ‘Ultra Spiritual Life’ video series. He manages to encourage millions of people to help themselves, and in more ways than one. But mostly through laughter…
Full of jokes
In a way he messes with your mind. I mean how can a guy full of jokes be our ultimate guide to life? Well, that’s just it. I think we underestimate the power of humor entirely. Sears, unlike you and I, grasped this long ago and uses comedy to coach others into gaining better health, wellness, and spirituality. He’s also kind of adorable in his quirky little yoga outfits on Instagram. After all isn’t laughing what life’s about?
Another thing he does, is coach through our vulnerability. By combining this with humor, he actually help people connect to their emotions, feelings, memories and experiences. I never would’ve guessed.

Mr Sears has an almost cult-like following for both his Instagram account and his YouTube channel. I think most of his followers are highly intrigued by his presence but they can’t seem to shake the feeling of being confused. While he uses jokes to inspire and coach, this very technique makes it difficult to distinguish whether or not he is cracking another one or actually providing a valuable lesson. In my opinion this man is shifting the way we think about and communicate with our spirituality and health. This is something that cannot go unrecognized.
I’ve realized that in life the only medicine you really need is laughter, in most cases of course. So he’s definitely onto something.

1. Make your bed everyday!
Okay, whatever Skye. No seriously it seems like a little task, but it has a domino effect. JP says it will make you feel as if you’ve begun your day on a clean slate. You’ll feel motivated for success, just by knowing your room is clean and fresh,
2. Write daily for a minimum of 20 minutes
It doesn’t matter if writing is your forte or not. It will make you feel more productive and clarify your thoughts. JP believes it can also ease any emotions that may be overwhelming you. So be sure to set aside a few minutes everyday to jot down anything that comes to mind. It’s totally worth it!
3. Meditate everyday!
It essential to dedicate a few minutes to being grounded and present. JP Sears tells us that he used to meditate in the morning, but he found that an evening meditation feels a lot more natural. Meditation will allow you to tap into a different part of yourself that’s difficult to access in any other way.
4. Include Yoga and Fitness daily!
By incorporating Yoga and gym into your routine you will not only feel better in terms of health and fitness. But, you will also feel more relaxed. Yoga reduces anxiety, stress and releases endorphin’s-triggering your ‘happy hormones.’ Any form of exercise is crucial on a daily rate.
